A beautiful and warm day, finally!
This is going to be an update of a previous post about my night skin care routine, though most of the products are the same. I divided it in two parts: the cleansing part and the care part. Let’s start, of course, with the cleansing and make-up removal.

Garnier 2 in 1 eye make-up remover, waterproof : besides the very cool purple colour, it isn’t an oily product. A big advantage considering that it removes eye make-up just as well or even better and leaves no oily residue. As you know I don’t use waterproof cosmetics, but I do know it’s very effective because it cleans you eye area much faster than the many others I have tried. It also removes glittery eye-shadows very well, there is no trace left of glitter. So far I like it, tough I think it won’t last more than a month and a half and it seems to be a bit aggressive for my eyelashes, but I’m not yet certain… Could be a coincidence.

Kiko Makeup Milano Milk and Tone: that you already know, so I won’t say anything about it, just check this post. Reaching its end in the next few days and I´ve had it for 9 months!

Etude House Essential Foam Cleanser Collagen: again, you can check the post I made before. It’s almost at its end, but these tend to last a very long time as well. Also have this one for about 7 months, now.

Propolis soap by Ach. Brito: I did mention this one before. I decided to stop using it for a while but two months ago I decided to give it another chance. I use this one almost every morning and sometimes at night; when I feel my skin is a bit more oily than usual I will use the soap instead of the Etude House foam cleanser. They say propolis is good for oily skin with breakouts. This time, it doesn’t seem to be drying or dehydrating my skin, but it might have something to do with another change I made. Will explain it in a while.

Agora vou então falar da parte do tratamento.
Now onto to the skin care part.

NeoStrata Gel Plus Salicylic 15: also refer to this post. I apply it right after cleansing, when my skin is completely dry. At this point, I’m only using it where pimples appear and not on my entire face. Seems to be working, though, but I use it EVERY SINGLE DAY at night.

Etude House Lash Serum: check the post. Still continue using it because it really shows some results. However, I don’t know if it’s time to start using a new bottle because it doesn’t look very clean or transparent anymore and that might be another reason why my lashes are falling…

Mizon Snail Repair Eye cream: I’ve had this for almost a year now. At first I didn’t think it was working and bought another one at a local store. But I decided that I should use it all up and so it became part of my night routine. I still don’t know if it works because I’m using a different one in the morning that has reduced my fine lines a bit, but does little or nothing when it comes to hydrating the skin.

Secret Key Snail Repairing cream: why did I buy this one instead of the Mizon one from the same line? Because the Mizon moisturizer was quite expensive at the time. Everyone wanted it, so the stores got greedy and the price went sky high! So I got this one. Since it was summer time, I did not use it very regularly. Now, it’s been quite a few months of regular use. Wonderful for moisturizing and with prolonged use, you do see a difference on fine lines! This moisturizer might be the reason why the soap and the very harsh NeoStrata gel aren’t dehydrating my face. I apply it around an hour after the NeoStrata. When I don’t have the time, I just wait for the NesoStrata to absorb into my skin and apply this one straight away. I do notice some acne scars getting a bit lighter, but again, it does not happen overnight, it takes months of regular use.

Hope you enjoyed this tiny update on my skin care routine. I decided to share it because the fact that I added the Secret Key moisturizer has been making a difference even regarding breakouts. And it’s always good to remember that just because you have oily skin, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to do everything to make it dry and dehydrated, quite the opposite!

Already regret eating the chocolate bunny! Not even the Neostrata gel could avoid the disaster! My skin is currently very angry at me!

Fiquem bem! Até ao meu próximo post!
Xana

Take care! See you on my next post!

  20. Oh my! replace your lash serum the soonest or stop using it now as the change of color, most often than not, it's a sign of changed formulation so yeah, it might be the reason of your lash hairfall. THanks for sharing your routine btw :)

  28. Hey Alexandra! Oh no, make sure to change your eyelash serum as soon as possible so you won't get any more eyelash fall-outs. Liquid beauty products are very delicate, once they're expired you can't use them anymore unlike powdered make-up. Thanks for sharing your night-time routine! Garnier is a really good brand, I swear by it and I have really sensitive skin. :)

Take care always, love Christine ~ xo
