Happy Easter! (not so happy for some...)

A minha avó Quina (mão do meu Pai) acabou por morrer esta terça-feira e amanhã a minha avó Nanda faz anos. SEMANA OCUPADA!!
My grandmother Quina (my Father's mother) eventually died this Tuesday and tomorrow is my grandmother Nanda’s birthday. BUSY WEEK!!! Sorry about my sarcastic sense of humour, it’s all I’m capable of at the moment. Everything feels surreal and I can still hear grandmother Quina’s voice.

On to the post I had prepared about the second experience with the gel nail polish kit.
Duraram 12 dias.
They lasted 12 days. 12 days without extreme careful and doing some dish washing without gloves. And I removed them because, as you can see in the pictures, my natural nails were showing too much and it doesn’t look very pretty. This time most of them came out in one piece and perhaps faster than the first time.

My natural nails ended up quite nice, with no visible harm done. I wanted to wait about a week before doing them again, to see if they would break or if they would get worst or better, but I could not. Three days later I did them again and they ended up being ripped off because of my nerves.

Here I had just applied the Essence caring oil.

And here, after about 2 hours and they still look good.

I didn’t think they turned out that well and the darker pink polish is not a good option for the gel kit. It takes too long to dry and doesn’t let the top coat settle properly. A shame, because the nail polish is very beautiful and cool with that sand effect. Considering the state of my nails at the moment, because I didn’t remove the polishes correctly, I’m sure I will have to wait about a week at least… At least I didn’t rip my hair! That would have been harder to fix!

What is everyone planning on doing this Easter, besides eating a lot of chocolate, be they eggs or bunnies? Don’t be shy and share your plans!  My chocolate bunny from Ferrero Rocher remains intact, but will it hold until Sunday???

Uma Feliz e muito doce Páscoa!
A Happy and very sweet Easter!

Fiquem bem! Até ao meu próximo post!

Take care! See you on my next post!

    Beijinhos :3

  13. I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. I read the previous post and found out she wasn't doing well and I hope that she had been released of all pain and suffering.

That said, you nail condition is excellent considering you just got your gelish removed. I'm envious and amazed at the same time! My nails almost died when I removed my first gelish. You must have really taken lots of care to remove them with great precision.

Ah, thanx for the enlightenment. I thought that most European countries would have the Monday holiday. Means we are all going back to work tomorrow. T_T

I'm not very good at baking and the only time I baked was in school. So I'm quite sure that with the right guidance, you would bake nice little cupcakes too!
