Holika Holika Daily Garden Lemon cleansing foam

Hi everyone! The heat decided to show up at full strength for a couple of days, but it seems Thursday it will be gone and my chances of going to beach will once again disappear.
Oh well! Nothing you can do!

Today I will be reviewing a cleanser by the Korean brand Holika Holika. As you know I was used to using the My Beauty Diary strawberry cleanser and very much in love with the product. After my second purchase I decided to try another one. You never know, there might even be better out there with so many brands and different products to try!

I was running out of both cleanser and moisturizer and started searching for new ones to try. I researched reviews and came across a haul video where a very cute and interesting cream was showed. The package was adorable, all pink and pretty. The jelly type cream was very cool because when you did a hole with your finger the cream would start to close itself! So I decided to try it but only found it on taobao. So I thought I should try a cleanser of the same brand and found the Daily Garden on ebay! And it was cheaper than My Beauty Diary (Around 9$, if that much)! How nice!

Daily garden has 5 different cleansing foams for different purposes and different smells:
Green tea
Unfortunately I can’t find the seller anymore, he explained what each did. I do remember however that the lemon had exfoliating properties and removed dead skin, reason why I bought it.

Packaging: Very simple, a yellow tube with green designs and writing and a white cap. It contains 120ml. All written in Korean at the back. Although simple as it is, I find it cute and very easy to use. The cap can also be removed.

Fragrance: Has slight lemon smell, not strong at all.

Texture: Not liquidy and soft. It’s also yellow. As soon as you spread it turns into foam.

This amount should be more than enough. I started using a bit less after a couple of weeks

How to my way: Whenever I wash my face, usually morning and night. Wet face and then wipe my hands so they are almost dry. Squeeze needed amount onto hands and then spread all over my face. Massage a little and then rinse off with water! Easy!

Please excuse my horrible face!

Longevity: opened on the 5th of March 2012. It’s like this almost 4 months later using it every, twice a day. As you can there is still product in the tube so 4 months easily, although I already have another cleanser from Etude House waiting to be opened, BUT ONLY when this one runs out.

You can still see close to the cap there is still product to be used!

Would I buy this again: This time I did not. With the My Beauty Diary cleanser you could feel it did some exfoliation, very soft of course, but it was there. This one did not feel exfoliating at all when washing my face. My skin looked better and felt better with the other cleanser. However NO bad or allergic reaction whatsoever! Yes, it’s a good cleanser but for what I wanted it did not perform.

I hope this was helpful.
Take care everyone!

HOG Rally 2012

Wish I was there again!!!!
Saturday morning we woke up to go pick my mother and younger sister, Ipa was already with me. Plans ruined because we couldn’t enter the city after until 2 o’clock in the afternoon, because the parade of motorbikes was to be held throughout the streets of the city. So we didn’t leave. We thought the day was ruined. Mother was so anticipating this event!!!
Around 1 o’clock you could hear the police cars and then all of sudden a LOUD ROAR OF BIKES!!! The parade lasted for about 15 minutes and my sister recorded everything. Awesome and crazy bikes with lots of bikers and wives waving goodbye! One of them took the wife and two teenage daughters on the bike. They didn’t seem uncomfortable at all! My sister and I were mesmerized. I didn’t count on sooooooooo many people, didn’t even think all them would fit into the city’s streets. But they did. After it was over we ran to talk to the police to see if cars could get into the city again and they said yes. In a flash, but carefully because car accidents do happen, went to pick Mother and Margarida (the youngest one).
Turned out to be a good day. The bikers parked in the main street so people could see the awesome bikes and take pictures. My sister has her album on facebook so I will leave the link for everyone to see. Cascais was full!!! I can’t remember the last time I saw our tiny city (used to be a village, now it’s a city although nobody agrees to that) filled with people of all ages having fun in the sun. A great memory. Grandmother also enjoyed it, thankfully she was already recovered and went on a stroll.
Grandmother on the right, Mother on the left
COOL, AWESOME AND VERY NICE biker in the middle!
Me, Filipa, aka Ipa, and Margarida, aka Dida
This bike was huge and it was from Spain. The biker was nice because he was leaving in a hurry!
At night there was stage for concerts! We had no idea what bands would play and before 8 o’clock Mother and all three of her daughters, were more or less in the middle, not too close to the front but not at the back either. It started with Boot Led Zeppelin, still daylight. Those tight jeans… they should be forbidden. Unfortunately we didn’t take pictures of that, kind of forgot. A shame, really wanted to show you de VERY TIGHT jeans!
Here is a picture taken when this band was playing. The bikers right in front of us were having so much fun at one point!

Lots of drinks and food for everyone to enjoy!
Yes, also a lot of drunk people, BUT no harm and no fuss!
After Boot Led Zeppelin they gave out a few awards and thanked the team and organizers. In the mean time, night had fallen and gave way to (sound of drums) Ladies and Gentlemen… ELVIS PRESLEY. The men playing Elvis was really amazing, so amazing that the three of us (sisters) were behaving like little teenage girls screaming our lungs out for Elvis! Well, the youngest one IS 13 years old, but Ipa and me… shame!!!! He gave out scarves, came down from the stage to hand out directly to the people at the front row, and there Ipa went and got a pink scarf handed directly to her hand by him! And we screamed! And we jumped! And we behaved like horny little girls… SHAME!!! THE SHAME!!!!
And his outfits were so cool, this one had a peacock!
He was so awesome!!!!
After the great Elvis came Platinum The Live ABBA Tribute Show. Mother was delighted! The whole concert brought her a canopy of memories that you see in her eyes and face. I felt so happy that my mother was happy that night! They were awesome, the clothes were very much like the original. More tight pants, BUT unfortunately did not have the same effect, not for us anyway… XD So sorry ABBA fellas.
The thing that surprised me the most was how Dida reacted to all of this. She is 13 years old and I thought she wouldn’t like or know most of the artists or songs. I was very much mistaken!! She knew them and we all sang and danced to them.
Mother and my sisters had to sleep with us, the concert was over at around 1o’clock in the morning. The next day I went to take them home. Many bikers were also leaving but others stayed at least until Monday.

A great weekend for the whole family and I think that is to value. A lot of people don’t spend that much time with family, but I’ve come to cherish it because we never know when they will go.
Thanks everyone!!! Hope you enjoy reading as much as I have enjoyed writing!

Peace Boat June 2012 in Lisbon

It’s been a very long time, as usual…
Japanese class has ended for this year and grandmother is finally feeling better and can walk on her own again!
To celebrate the last class of the year some students gave a tiny guided tour through a few streets of the city of Lisbon to 15 Japanese visitors. These visitors have been going around the globe on a cruise called Peace Boat!!!! They only anchored here for a day, which of course is very little time, but still. We spent the whole day with Japanese people from all age groups. Extremely lovely and nice people! Lunch was Portuguese and around 6 o’clock they offered a traditional Japanese dinner on the cruise. It was a very fun day and really good experience!
My sister and I, together with a couple more class-mates were in charge of two young Japanese girls. They took SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many pictures!!!! And in the end they offered us two drink from Japanese vending machines from Kirin, my sister and I got the Kirin Lemon drink. Very good!!!!!!
Our group on the boat! Left is Minami san and on the right is Hikari san
Credit to Hikarin san for the photo!
It's amazing really. Hikari san is a ntural! She could strike a pose in seconds! Jealous...
Just outside the portuguese restaurant. Again the credit of the pictures goes to Hikari san, please don't use them!!!!

A very fun and educational Friday!
The great weekend didn’t end here but I will make another post on the HOG Rally 2012!
